Comfortable cabins, could use updating. No drinking water in rooms, bottles filled in lounge. No umbrellas or flashlights in rooms. Electricity went out but has been fixed. Fair food but friendly staff. Discounted rooms due to electrical problem. Saw impalas, wildebeests, zebras. 4 great game drives. Good food portions with choices for dinner. Staff helpful. Comfy beds. Boma evening great. Super game drives with knowledgeable guide. Exceedingly friendly guests. Spacious rooms with great decks. Beautiful views, welcoming staff, stylish interiors. Delicious food. Interesting drives with caring ranger. Will come back.

The location of the lodge was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding park. We were able to see wild animals right from our porch, which was an incredible experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a cozy and relaxing stay.
The bathroom, which could use an update. Although it was clean, some modernization would have been appreciated.

The two game drives on the Big 5 Amakhala Game Reserve were the highlight of our trip. Our knowledgeable ranger, Brad, made sure we saw not only the Big 5 but also witnessed the most incredible animal behaviors and interactions. The lodge's stone and thatch lodges were spacious and had private decks with panoramic views of the game reserve, where we enjoyed watching wildlife right from our own lodge. The lodge also offered a range of extra activities such as guided bush walks and night drives, making our stay even more exciting and adventurous.
For dads, it would be great if the lodge offered a dedicated children's program or activities specifically tailored for families with children.

The safari drives were absolutely incredible, with the opportunity to see a wide variety of animals up close. The staff and guides were friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food at the hotel was also delicious.
One thing that could be improved is the organization of the daily schedule. It would have been helpful to have a more structured itinerary to ensure that we didn't miss any activities or experiences.
